Little Passports Discovery Kit World Edition unboxing and review + GIVEAWAY!

Last week I received an AWESOME package from the wonderful staff over at Little Passports! This is an AWESOME subscription service for children ages 5-12! This subscription box is aimed at children and is made to take them on a voyage to different countries in the world or states in the United States without actually leaving your house! This is an amazing way to teach your children, grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins ect. about the beauty of the world and the amazing country that we live in!

Little Passports cost $11.95 per month, either World or USA edition, which is a ridiculously cheap price considering what you receive and the amount of fun and learning that the program provides to children. You can also purchase 3, 6 + 12 month plans for $13.95 a month...not quite sure what the difference in the price means though.

For the World Edition:

Your first month starts off with the Discovery kit! (Which is what I have to review for you today!) This kit includes:

  • A Fun Travel Suitcase with and introductory letter from Sofia & Sam (Which I will get into below)

  • World Wall Map

  • Travel Passport

  • Fun Stickers

  • Activity Sheet

  • Access to online games and activities with a special Boarding Pass!

After that, each month you will receive a country-specific package that includes:

  • An adventure letter from Sam & Sofia

  • Fun souvenirs (such as Japanese erasers, Egypt Pyramid Dig kit, ect.)

  • Stickers for your suitcase, passport & map

  • Photos

  • Activity Sheets

  • Boarding Passes to access even MORE online games and activities!

Right now there are 23 different countries included in this program! That's amazing, and as a 20 year old girl, I want to subscribe to this for myself!

Now if you're interested in the USA edition, it's a little different! Your first month starts off with the Discovery kit as well that includes:

  • An Introductory letter from Sam & Sofia

  • USA Field Guide

  • USA Scratch Book

  • USA Wall Map

  • Disposable Camera & Photo Scavenger Hunt

After that, each month you'll receive 2 new states to visit with fun things including:

  • A 32- Page activity packed journal covering 2 states

  • Stickers

  • Pop-out models

  • Postcards

  • Access to more information and activities online

So now that you know a little bit about the program, let's jump into the World Edition Discovery Kit! This was an exciting piece of mail for my niece to receive, I had kept it a surprise from her until she actually got it of course!

005This is the awesome suitcase that it comes with! It reads "Little Passports A Global Adventure" in white, with a World Traveler stamp and a Global Adventure with Sam and Sofia stamp. This is a very decent sized suitcase made out of a durable cardboard material! The design and coloring of it is just so darn cute! It's the perfect size to keep all of your worldly activities and souvenirs in! This housed the rest of the items that came with it, and on the inside there is a place to write who this suitcase belongs to. My niece being the weirdo that she is decided to write "Me...Taco"...I was not aware her name was Taco!

006The next thing in the box was this nifty little "passport"! It's so cute and realistic, except it's made out of a thicker cardstock material! On the inside (which I didn't take pictures of sadly) is a place to put a picture of your child, their name, and address! There are also a few different activities such as "Name 3 countries you would like to visit" in which my niece responded with Peru, Russia, and Canada; a checkmark page that asks "What do you want to do when you visit another country?" in which my niece checked off: meet kids my age, eat new food, go to parks, go to the beach, go to the zoo and go to museums; a section that says "Ask your parents to name 3 countries they have visited or would like to visit" which hasn't been completed, and another that says "Ask your parents why they liked these countries or why they would want to visit them" and then the rest of the pages are for your "Country Stamps". This is such a neat little addition, and it makes the program so much more realistic.

041

Here is my niece, filling out her Passport and choosing the places where she wants to visit! She had fun looking on the map and choosing where she'd like to go :)008Next was the letter from Sam & Sofia! It reads:

"Hello! My name is Sam. I'm writing to you because I had to tell someone what happened to me and my best friend Sofia. I found a magical scooter that can take me anywhere I want to go. I'm going to use it to travel around the world!

This is what happened- I was visiting my Aunt Charlie. She's a scientist and inventor with a garage full of weird machines and half-finished gizmos. She sent me into her garage to look at a scooter she was fixing. The scooter seemed like a normal scooter until I noticed the GPS attached to the handle bars. The screen on the GPS was flashing: 'WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO?'

I hopped on the scooter and told it to head to Sofia's house. Sofia almost jumped out of her window when I appeared in front of her. It's a good thing Sofia said she'd go with me because she had a great idea! She thought it would be fun to write letters and send gifts to pen pals while we're traveling. What do you think?

This month, Sofia thought it would be cool to send you a suitcase to store all the things we send you. Each month, we'll send you stickers to put on the suitcase and make it your own! This month we sent stickers of us.

We sent you a world map so you can see where we're traveling. Each month, we'll send you cool stickers you can put on the map to track where we've been.

We also sent you your very own world passport. Put a photo of yourself inside and answer some of the questions. We'll send you passport stickers every month so you can "visit" countries right along with us.

You'll also receive a Boarding Pass with a secret access code to play fun games in the Boarding Zone area of our website. One of them uses the map we sent you!

The last thing we included is a page of activities. If you solve one of them, it will tell you where we're traveling next month!

Write you soon,

Sam and Sofia."

I really think this is a neat touch to the box as well. It makes the children think they're getting a personalized letter directly to them.  I like that it tells you a little bit about what's going on in the month as well! My niece really enjoyed reading this!

042Here is my niece reading her letter from Sam & Sofia and finding out what she'll be doing this month! :)

007Next is the Worldwide Adventures Activities! It included 3 different activities...2 on the front, 1 on the back. The first activity was Hello Around the World; it gave the kids a decoder (letters and numbers) as well as how to say hello in different languages written in numbers. She had to look at the decoder, and find the letters that corresponded with the numbers and write them down! She learned how to say Hello in 5 different languages such as French, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and Spanish!

046

Here she is figuring out her first puzzle while learning new languages! :)

The next activity involved using the map and was called Sam & Sofia's Next Country Adventure! This activity required her to use the map given to her to find the capitals of different countries! This was very fun because some of them she couldn't find so I had to join in on the fun! Each capital's First letter gave the clue to the next month's box! She had to find the capital of Germany, Italy, Turkey, Croatia, Pakistan and Portugal! Leading her to discover that next month's box is: (SPOILER) Brazil!

047Here she is, evil face and all, trying to find her capitals to reveal the next month's adventure! This was challenging and fun, because it required her to look all over the map!

The last activity for this kit was on the back, and was called "How Old Are Sam & Sofia?". There was a picture of an airport on the back, with different flags hidden around the place, and she had to count how many flags where there! She determined that Sam & Sofia are 10 years old :) Just a year younger than her!

009Next is the awesome Boarding Pass! As you can see, it has a picture of Sam & Sofia riding the scooter. On the back it contains instructions on how to use it, the destination, and the secret code. Of course, I didn't take a picture of the back in case everybody's codes are different. The bottom tells you to KEEP the boarding pass because if you ever forget your member name or password, the code with help locate your information, which is SO neat! It tells us that you can attach it to your suitcase handle for safe keeping! It included a little bungie like string as well :)

044Here she is being a goober and playing with string on her boarding pass!

010Next is the picture of Sofia & Sam in a garage! I'm assuming that this is Aunt Charlie's garage...but can't be quite positive. This is awesome because it's printed on actual picture paper, and is taken in a real garage! I thought this was a cute little thing to show the beginning of the journey :)

043Here she is with her picture of Sam & Sofia. After this we had a long argument on whether or not they were in a real garage. She seems to think they aren't, while I know they are :)

012Last but not least is the HUGE map of the World featuring Sam & Sofia on it! This map is AWESOME and I was very jealous to see it in the kit! The design of it is amazing, and everything about it is plain awesome. I couldn't get a whole photo of it because it's just way too big, but you can see parts of it in the above pictures of my niece working with her kit!

Overall I really am loving this kit and program in general! I really think that this is an awesome way to introduce kids in to learning about the country and the world! For $11.95 a month, you really can't complain! I wasn't sure if my little niece would be into this, as she is 7 years old, but I think I'm going to subscribe to them for both of my nieces. I know my oldest one had fun with it, so I'm sure my little one will too, plus it's a great way to spend time with them! I'm going to allow them to choose which one they'd like, but personally I'd go with the world ;)

I was lucky enough to be sent this by the wonderful Sara of Little Passports, but was even LUCKIER when she asked if I'd like to host a giveaway on my blog! Of course I jumped at the opportunity because I feel this needs to be shared with everyone! So I was told I could giveaway a 3 month subscription to either their World or USA edition package! Lucid Box May 2013 unboxing and review!

A few days ago, I was sent a box from an awesome new Jewelry Subscription Service by the name of the Lucid Box! It is a subscription service in which you pay $26 a month, and receive 2 fresh pieces of jewelry delivered straight to your door, all with FREE shipping! The box of jewelry ranges anywhere from $58-$74 which is at DOUBLED the price you pay for the box! Already a good deal! The pieces that you receive each month are HANDMADE by designer/owner Anna Sabino of Lucid New York Jewelry, which is outrageous considering the amount of detail goes into the pieces. From browsing on the website, I've seen tons of necklaces that I've never seen anywhere (idea and production) and they're all amazing!

001This is what I received this month! All in beautiful packaging! A Gorgeous silver drawstring bag, and beautiful blue box with pink ribbon, and a nice scroll looking letter with pink ribbon as well! As you can see, the bag has the Lucid New York logo, and the website name below.

I forgot to take a picture of the letter, but it had a picture of a door being opened and it says "When one door closes, another opens. Or you can open the closed door. That's how doors work." Haha, so funny, then it goes on to say:

"Hehe, isn't that a great quote?! Sometimes we really don't realize why certain things finish, we want to fight and keep them, continue them not being able to detach and make room, giving chance to the new. Let's try and accept the doors, which close..."

002

The beautiful silver silk drawstring bag housed a GORGEOUS piece of jewelry...

018These chillingly beautiful earrings labeled on the paper as "Cluster Earrings!". There are so many things going on with this pair of earrings that it's actually amazing. The first 3 things from the top are little black diamond like stones that go down into a "cluster" of pearl looking beads that end with giant diamond like stones! They're just all out GORGEOUS! These earrings are a value of $29. I searched on the website to post a link for you guys, but can't seem to find it on the website. These are gorgeous, literally can't get over these!

003The blue box also housed a beautiful pair of earrings...

021These are the "Chandelier Earrings" and boy are they gorgeous! These are a beautiful almost matte gold finished pair of earrings that have multiple layers of chains on them, with leaves hanging off. They're "dangling" off of  beautiful stretch of what looks to be a bamboo branch, which just makes this even more gorgeous! I'm in love with bamboo, I think it's so pretty! These earrings also have a value of $29, and can be purchased here in either matte brushed gold plated, or matte silver plated!

Now I would have gladly modeled these off for you, but the unfortunate fact is that I don't have my ears pierced...I got them pierced a few years back but ended up having to close them up because they kept getting infected. I later found out that I was allergic to the nickle earrings I had been wearing, so I plan on getting them pierced again. In the mean time, I had my 11 year old niece help show them off! I also decided to, instead of hoarding both pairs until I get my ears pierced, give the first pair to my mother for Mother's Day...I just had to share the love and I knew she'd like them! Of course she did, and has worn them since!

Here is the first pair!

015I really like the way these look when actually worn, and I think they looked perfect on her! They dangled, but not so much that it's overbearing and annoying. She seemed to like them too :)

016Here is the second pair! They look silver in this picture, but it's because my camera wasn't flashing the right way. I really like the way these are worn too, but for me I feel they're a little too long. I like shorter earrings. She told me that they weren't heavy and didn't drag her ear down which is always a plus!

Overall I think this subscription service is fantastic! I love that you're automatically guaranteed OVER the amount you pay for the box, which is a mere $26! It's great if you go out a lot and enjoy having some new "bling" to show off, for a very low price. The low price does NOT affect the quality. These are VERY high quality pieces of jewelry and I look forward to purchasing some things for Christmas gifts, maybe even a few subscriptions :) Not every month will be just earrings, this just happened to be the luck of the draw...

Now if this jewelry seems a bit steep to you for whatever reason, whether you're on a budget or what not, I suggest going and "liking" their facebook page where they post jewelry deals and updates about the Lucid Box in general! It's like a one stop shop :) They also have a beautifully written Jewelry Blog in which she, Anna, talks about some latest jewelry fashion, and shows off some new stuff! It's awesome and addicting! :)

This really is a terrific service, and I hope that this post has influenced you to go on and try it! :)

Healthy Surprise April 2013 Unboxing and Review!

I have another AWESOME unboxing and review today brought to you by Healthy Surprise Subscription Service! Healthy Surprise is an AWESOME company in which you pay money each month and receive an awesome box full of Healthy, Natural, Organic snacks! It really is a surprise, and an awesome one at that!

There are three different sizes you can get. The subscription service itself is kind of expensive but more than half of the products are full sized! I was sent the Starter Box which is $33 a month + $6 shipping (the cheapest). It's roughly 16-20 servings, and for 1-2 people.

The next is Healthy Box which is $66 a month with FREE shipping! It roughly has 32-40 servings and is for 1-4 people.

The last is the Large Box which is $99 a month with FREE shipping! It roughly has 48-60 servings and is for 2-6 people.

Now with these food subscription boxes, as I did with the Goodies Taste Box, I enjoy having "taste tests" with my family, so the smallest box was able to give 4 people enough product to taste and form a valid opinion. I honestly think this is an awesome program, even though it's expensive. Let's jump into what I received.

This is my box:

014I got an awesome variety of delicious treats! My box this month came with 11 goodies that I was overall very pleased with! I'm just going to get right into the items in my box.

The first item I received was:

002A .8 oz bag of Plentils Crunchy Lentil Chips with Light Sea Salt! These are, as stated before, a Crunchy Lentil Chip, which are a legume that is similar to a bean! But if you tasted these, you honestly would NEVER know! These chips are gluten free and also free of 8 common allergens such as wheat, soy, tree nuts, egg, peanuts, shellfish, dairy and fish! There are also no artificial ingredients  no saturated fat, no cholesterol, no trans fat, and it's non-GMO! Talk about a miracle snack, huh? These chips come in 4 deliciously awesome flavors; Garlic & Parmesan, Dill & Sour Cream, Light Sea Salt, and Margherita Pizza!

016These bad babies may look like corn chips, but they're SO much better! These had to be one of my favorite items in the box. I really enjoyed the taste and texture. The salt was perfect, and it wasn't over powering. I found that they were nice and light as well. They didn't have the grease that a normal chip has that can leave you feeling gross! My family seemed to really like them too!

Mom: Kind of taste like a bugle, has the same texture as well. Salt is very good. (Side Note: My mom is a salt addict...)

Dad: Taste like a Muncho's chip, awesome!

Niece: They were good, not great. (Side Note: She's a very picky eater...)

You can purchase a 6 Pack of .8oz chips for $8.99 making this sample $1.50! I have seen these in my local grocery store and have been very tempted to pick them up, but can't find myself spending $3.99 on a 4 oz chip bag...

004Next we have Thunderbird Energetica Bar in Sweet Lemon Rain Dance. This is an all natural energy bar that is free of soy, gluten, agave, GMO and add sugars, while also being raw, low glycemic, vegan, handmade and Shaman-Blessed. I'm honestly not quite sure what the last part means...Another cool thing though, is that this has a compostable wrapper!

022Now the non-cool thing. This bar is actually pretty disgusting. I really couldn't get over the look of it...which seems to be a common trend with these energy/all natural bars. At first it's pretty good, but then once the lemony part disappears, it's very awkward and gross. The texture is very weird, and it just has too many things in it for me to like. My family all said one word:

Mom: Gross

Dad: Gross

Niece: Gross

You can purchase 15 of these bars on their website for $32.00 making this sample $2.13. In which, I'd rather take the money and run!

005

The next item is an Alter Eco Dark Almond Organic Chocolate Bar. This Chocolate Bar is USDA Organic, Fair Trade Certified, Vegan, Soy, GMO & Gluten Free and contains no artificial ingredients. A neat thing about this bar is that every sale from this bar helps to restore the rain forest. On the inside of the packaging it tells of Acopagro Co-Op and Objective Carbon Zero which is supposedly agriculture that restores ecosystems!

028The bar came with 10 big blocks that have Alter Eco etched in them. Now, I personally don't like dark chocolate, I find that it's too plain and doesn't have enough flavor. I also don't really care for organic chocolate, because I think it has the same flavor as Dark Chocolate, but this bar really wasn't that bad! I really though that the texture added from the chopped up almonds worked with this very well.

Mom: Very good, love both the chocolate and the almonds! (Side Note: She's a Dark Chocolate Lover...)

Dad: Not bad for a dark chocolate bar.

Niece: Love it because I love dark chocolate! (Side Note: She HATES nuts, but I tricked her into eating it, and she loved it)

You can purchase this bar on their website for $3.99.

006

The next product received was a .33oz bag of Freeze Dried Crunchies in Pineapple! These 100% Real Fruit pieces are, of course, all natural with only 35 calories per serving, no sugar added and no preservatives! These are made through a unique freeze-drying process in which water is removed in a vacuum, leaving only the fruit or vegetable. Nothing else is added into it.

017These things look so cool! They're exactly what the package says...they're dehydrated pineapples. Here's a funny thing, I really hate pineapples, I think the taste is gross, but I ADORE these! I love them so much, they're a little sour, but very fruity. The texture is a little weird though...I really don't think they're "Crunchies" they're kind of like "Chewies" ;)

Mom: Hard as a rock...hard to chew, weird texture, but good!

Dad: Good

Niece: Sort of like it, don't really care for the texture and the sourness.

You can purchase a 12 pack of these "Munch Paks" for $20.28 on their website, making this sample $1.69 I also saw the bigger bags sold at Walmart recently :)

007

The next product is a Rawma Bar in Walnut Fig from Gopal's Health Foods. It's a raw, organic, sprouted, gluten free, high enzyme energy bar that contains organic walnuts, organic figs, organic dates, organic almonds, organic lemon juice and organic cardamom.

021

This looks very gross...as usual with these bars. I personally thought this was very weird. It was oddly textured, and tasted weird at first, but then reminded me of a fig newton, in which I love. My dad felt the same way as I did.

Mom: Was okay, but needs to have a cookie or something sweet to it. It's too plain.

Dad: I like them, but it takes a while for the fig to come out.

Niece: EW, I don't like fig! (Side Note: After she said that, she spit it out...)

You can purchase these bars on their website for $1.80 a piece.

008The next item is also one of my favorites out of the box, and it is a 2 oz bag of Happy Hemp Toasted Hemp Seeds. These are put out by the Happy-Hemp company and are vegan, gluten-free and GMO- free. There's not much to say about these but the fact that they ROCK.

018They are these tiny little seeds that look like little eyeballs of a bug or something, which is a very gross way of describing them. I LOVE these things! They're so delicious, and I love the way they pop when you crunch down on them. They remind me a long of sunflower seeds. They would be PERFECT on a salad!

Mom: LOVE THEM!!!

Dad: They're alright, could use a little more flavor.

Niece: Good, don't like the aftertaste though.

You can purchase a 2oz bag of these on their website for $6.00

009Next up is the Mango Joebar from Cocomo Joe! This is an organic, gluten free, vegan and raw coconut granola bar type thing. And I say "type thing" because it doesn't have any granola in it, but that's exactly what it's like. It contains organic coconut, walnuts, coconut nectar, mango, and chia seeds along with a few other ingredients.

024This bar was terribly crumbly, but terribly awesome at the same time. I really liked it, and I really liked the taste of toasted coconut. It reminds me of my mom's coconut cream pie! I love coconut :) One thing I wasn't crazy about was the Mango...I thought it was really hard to chew and the chunks were HUGE. The walnuts were awesome in it :)

Mom: Mango was too chewy, but I love the flavor.

Dad: Okay, but should come in chocolate too.

Niece: Gross, flavor and texture are gross.

You can purchase a 12 pack of these bars for $30 on their website, making this sample $2.50

010The next thing in my box was a 2.2 oz bag of SouthWest Ranch (with just a little kick) Kale Krunch from Alive & Radiant foods! This, according to the package, is Nature's green supersnack! Of course, everything about this product is all natural and organic right down to the spices they use. These are a dried out piece of kale, which is a type of green.

020

The Kale Krunch actually looks VERY unappealing. Especially with the dryness and the spices on it, they're kind of just caked on there. In my book, I had wrote that I loved them, but the texture is weird. I still feel the same about the texture, but since having them again, my feelings on the taste has changed. They're a little weird, and the flavor is a little too strong. The texture is really what gets me though...

Mom: I like the texture, the flavor is gross though.

Dad: Weird, it could be used as like a crouton.

Niece: Too salty!

You can purchase a 2.2 oz of this product on their website for $5.99

011

The next product is this Just Fruit Bar from Gorge Delights in Apple Raspberry! This is an all natural fruit bar with no added sugars, wheat, dairy or nut, plus it's gluten free! It has extremely simple ingredients which are apple puree, apple concentrate, raspberry concentrate. Awesome!

Now I stupidly didn't take a picture of this product for reasons unknown. I really loved this product! I think it had AWESOME flavor, and I loved the texture.

Mom: Too sour, gross.

Dad: Awesome, Like a thick fruit roll-up! (Side Note: He ate the rest of it...)

You can purchase a 12 pack of these bars on their website for $13.92, making this sample $1.16!

012Next up is this pouch of Peter Rabbit Organics 100% pure fruit snack in Banana and Apple! This is an applesauce type treat made with simple ingredients, organic apple and organic banana. Really, that's all! This has no added sugar, nothing artificial, and is USDA Organic certified!

032The texture of this product is VERY smooth! It's not bumpy like applesauce itself. I absolutely LOVED this product! This was literally SO delicious, but I really couldn't taste the apple, I feel the banana overpowered it. It still was delicious and reminded me of baby food!

Mom: Taste like Baby Banana Food, good!

Dad: Taste like Baby Food...

Niece: Good! Taste like baby food!

You can purchase a 10 pack of these on their website for $14.44, making this sample $1.44 I've also seen these in walmart!

013Lastly, I have this 3.5 oz bag of Hail Merry Macaroons in Caramel Sea Salt! These macaroons are gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO. These are dehydrated in low temperature!

015

These, according to my dad, look like chicken nuggets, but I assure you they don't taste like them. I loved these things! The texture was awesome, and the flavor was okay, the caramel was barely there, but the coconut was AWESOME! I'm a coconut lover, and was very satisfied and pleased with the amount in this.

Mom: Weird flavor, not bad bad, but okay.

Dad: First bite was weird, they grow on you though.

Niece: Doesn't like because of the coconut.

You can purchase an 8 pack of these for $40 making this sample $5.00

Overall, I really like this box, but for the moment the price may be a little dealbreaker. I don't find a lot of people that would be able to spend $99 on a box of treats, let alone $40, but I may be wrong. If and when I start making a decent amount of money, I feel that I would be more than happy to subscribe to the cheapest plan because this was awesome.

Goodies Co. April 2013 Unboxing and Review!

Hi guys! I received my very FIRST Goodies Co. subscription box the other day. I've been at my grandparents house, so this is a little late, and yes, I'm 20 years old and still sleep at my grandparents house. :P If you don't know what Goodies Co is, it's a monthly subscription box in which you pay a flat $7 a month, and receive a box full (5-8) of goodies at your doorstep! $7 a month is ridiculously cheap and awesome for what you get in here :)

Now I read a lot of poor reviews on this box, saying it was terrible and one of the worst boxes people have got. This was my first one, so I can't say it was terrible. Not to mention I got this one for free since it was my first box (they had sent me a promotional thing to get my first box free). A lot of people said they were canceling, but I mean for $7 a month, I think it's well worth it if you get some junk months, it's all in the fun of subscription boxes. Also, it's to help you try out new foods, so personally I think it's worth it to get these sample sizes rather than spend all my money on something that I'm not going to like!

When I received my box, my mom was like, "THAT'S ALL YOU GOT?!" but I had to remind her that it only cost $7, and I also got that box for free...then she eased up. I also made her, my dad and my niece do taste tests with me :).

This is what I got:

030This box came with 7 items...but really only 6, because the gift card I can't even use. Now while I tell you about the product, I'm going to insert what my family and I thought about the products. We had a little taste test. as I said above, and I got all of their opinions on the products to share with you all :) The first product I received was:

031Celsius Calorie Reducing Drink in Sparkling Orange. This is a healthy energy drink that with moderate exercise, burns up to 100 extra calories! It has the bubbly taste of sweet blood oranges that offer a slightly less acidic flavor. This has no sugar, no aspartame, very low sodium, no artificial preservatives, no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial colors or flavors! It comes in a few different flavors such as this Sparkling Orange, Sparkling Cola and Sparkling Wild Berry which are all carbonated, and Raspberry Acai Green Tea and Peach Mango Green Tea which aren't.

Now to be honest, I wasn't really crazy about this product, and not really about the product itself, but the flavor I received. I thought that it was WAY to sour for my like, and I really couldn't see myself drinking a whole 12 fl oz. can of it alone.

Niece: Loved the taste, she thought it tasted just like Izzie which is her all time FAVORITE drink.

Mom: Liked it as well, said she'd purchase this before soda any day.

Dad: Thought it was good, but more than likely wouldn't purchase it. Also thought it was very sour and left a bad aftertaste.

You can purchase a 4 pack of this energy drink on the Celsius website (which will be listed below) for $6.99 making this sample roughly $1.74.

032The next product was a 0.5 oz bag of Angie's Delightfully Different Sweet & Salty Popcorn. This says that it is a Small Batch Kettle Corn made with sea salt, which is a HUGE love in my house. We're all about the sea salt, and recently converted my dad into loving it, he now doesn't buy regular salt, he HAS to have sea salt. Sweet & Salty is Angie's CLASSIC flavor, being that every taste bud craves the perfect balance of sweetness and salt. This is made by a husband and wife duo that use nothing but real, everyday ingredients such as popcorn, sunflower oil, evaporated cane juice and sea salt!

PopcornWe love popcorn in my household, so this was a huge hit. Everyone loved it! It was delicious and not dry, and really was perfectly salted. It didn't make my mouth dry up like regular buttered and salted popcorn does. I really liked it, but couldn't necessarily taste the sweetness as much as my other family members could. I really liked the salt, and how it wasn't overpowering.

Niece: Also didn't taste the sweetness a lot, but still loved it.

Mom: Loved it, and also tried finding it in stores but was greatly disappointed when she couldn't find it anywhere. I have a few stores that I know she hasn't looked in that I'll have to check for her. She really, really liked it.

Dad: Also really loved it, he wouldn't stop eating it!

You can purchase a 7 oz bag on their website for $3.99 or a 6. ct snack pack for $5.99 making this sample roughly $1.00.

033Next we have my personal favorite of the box, a 0.8 oz bag of Green Giant's Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt. The package really says nothing about the product...so I had to do a little research. These are "Crisp multigrain chips sweetened by real sweet potato and a savory sprinkling of sea salt" according to Goodies.Co.
Sweet Potato Chips

I personally really loved these! The texture of them were perfect and reminded me of those Munchies chips! The flavor was outstanding as well, the sea salt was perfect, and wasn't overpowering. They look like corn chips, but they're actually nothing like them.   As I said before, these were my favorite out of the box.

Niece: Didn't like it, she actually spit it out.

Mom: Loved it! She thought the same thing I did!

Dad: Not crazy about them, they taste like Munchies. Nothing too spectacular.

You can purchase these at Walmart for $2.18, making this sample roughly $0.40.

034Next we have a 0.7 oz package of Frontier Crunchy Energizing Bites in Almond+Blueberry+Lemon! These are granola like bites that are supposed to give you a good energizing boost! These bites are non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, preservative- free, and include no refined sugars! They also come in flavors such as the one I received, Macademia+Pineapple+Coconut, and Pecan+Cherry+Cinnamon. It's cool because recently they ended a KickStarter Campaign to produce more flavors and get single serving sized packages, so people who are on the go can take these with them. Now for the bad news...

frontier bites

My whole family thought these were disgusting. I honestly thought they had no flavor what so ever, and felt as if I were chewing on a thick sheet of cardboard. These were supposedly Almond+Blueberry+Lemon, but I could only taste a faint hint of lemon in them. I'm really not sure how these are "energizing bites" at all either. They were EXTREMELY hard to chew, and actually felt as if I was cutting my mouth up with them. I had to spit them out.

Niece: Disgusting, plain, boring, spit it out.

Mom: Gross, had no flavor, was hard to chew.

Dad: NASTY! Spit it out as well.

You can purchase a 100g bag on their website for $5.99 making this 20g sample roughly $1.20 which to be honest, I wouldn't pay.

035

Up next we have the GROSSEST product in the box! This is a TrueBar from Bakery on Main. All it says on the front is "I'm a fruit and nut bar with nothing to hide"...so it doesn't technically tell you a flavor, but by looking at the ingredients, I can tell you it has almonds, raisin juice, cranberries, raisins, chia seeds walnuts and hazel nuts to name a few. It's honestly not even worth going into detail because I don't recommend it to anyone.

true barThis is the grossest looking product I've ever seen. No one even wanted to try it, but I forced everyone to, even though I already have tried it before. I had tried it in a sample testing from Swaggable, and it was DISGUSTING! I didn't really want to taste it again but did for this review's sake. As you can guess, I absolutely HATED it. It was disgusting and I couldn't even swallow it. The texture, the flavor, it was just all wrong.

Niece: Hated it as well, and spit it out.

Mom: Thought it was gross, also spit it out.

Dad: Thought it was better than the Energizing Bites, but hated it as well.

You can buy a sleeve of 12 bars on their website for $17.99 making this sample roughly $1.50.

038The last food product in the box this month was a Zone Perfect bar in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. These are basically nutrition bars for people who want a snack but don't want to fill up on fat and other junk that some snacks can contain. These are like healthy junkfood bars :)

cookie doughThis is what the delicious load of goodness looks like! It almost reminds me of the chocolate chip cookie dough Pop Tarts...but I'm not quite sure why. Anyways, this bar is literally FANTASTIC! It's so chewy, but it really does taste like cookie dough! It doesn't have a boring, fake flavor. It's SO good! My family seemed to think so too! It's a good, healthy alternative to eating raw cookie dough!

Niece: Loved it! Thought it tasted just as good as cookie dough!

Mom: Liked it! She didn't really say much except that...

Dad: Taste like taffy, has the same texture as well, liked it a lot.

You can purchase 12 packs of Zone Perfect bars on their website for $18.35 making this sample roughly $1.53!

I also received a $50 wine gift card from Naked Wine, but it requires you to spend money, and the cheapest I can get something is $19.95, which I'm not finding reasonable. Plus, I'm not even sure you can ship wine to MA?

Overall I really like this box, and I think it's going to be one I stick to. It's only $7 which is totally affordable considering some boxes out there, and they seem to put good size samples in! This month's box only valued up to $7.37, which isn't a great deal considering you ARE paying $7, but where I got this box for free this month, it was quite alright!
