Little Passports cost $11.95 per month, either World or USA edition, which is a ridiculously cheap price considering what you receive and the amount of fun and learning that the program provides to children. You can also purchase 3, 6 + 12 month plans for $13.95 a month...not quite sure what the difference in the price means though.
For the World Edition:
Your first month starts off with the Discovery kit! (Which is what I have to review for you today!) This kit includes:
- A Fun Travel Suitcase with and introductory letter from Sofia & Sam (Which I will get into below)
- World Wall Map
- Travel Passport
- Fun Stickers
- Activity Sheet
- Access to online games and activities with a special Boarding Pass!
After that, each month you will receive a country-specific package that includes:
- An adventure letter from Sam & Sofia
- Fun souvenirs (such as Japanese erasers, Egypt Pyramid Dig kit, ect.)
- Stickers for your suitcase, passport & map
- Photos

- Boarding Passes to access even MORE online games and activities!
Right now there are 23 different countries included in this program! That's amazing, and as a 20 year old girl, I want to subscribe to this for myself!
Now if you're interested in the USA edition, it's a little different! Your first month starts off with the Discovery kit as well that includes:
- An Introductory letter from Sam & Sofia
- USA Field Guide
- USA Scratch Book
- USA Wall Map
- Disposable Camera & Photo Scavenger Hunt
After that, each month you'll receive 2 new states to visit with fun things including:
- A 32- Page activity packed journal covering 2 states

- Access to more information and activities online
So now that you know a little bit about the program, let's jump into the World Edition Discovery Kit! This was an exciting piece of mail for my niece to receive, I had kept it a surprise from her until she actually got it of course!
This is the awesome suitcase that it comes with! It reads "Little Passports A Global Adventure" in white, with a World Traveler stamp and a Global Adventure with Sam and Sofia stamp. This is a very decent sized suitcase made out of a durable cardboard material! The design and coloring of it is just so darn cute! It's the perfect size to keep all of your worldly activities and souvenirs in! This housed the rest of the items that came with it, and on the inside there is a place to write who this suitcase belongs to. My niece being the weirdo that she is decided to write "Me...Taco"...I was not aware her name was Taco!
The next thing in the box was this nifty little "passport"! It's so cute and realistic, except it's made out of a thicker cardstock material! On the inside (which I didn't take pictures of sadly) is a place to put a picture of your child, their name, and address! There are also a few different activities such as "Name 3 countries you would like to visit" in which my niece responded with Peru, Russia, and Canada; a checkmark page that asks "What do you want to do when you visit another country?" in which my niece checked off: meet kids my age, eat new food, go to parks, go to the beach, go to the zoo and go to museums; a section that says "Ask your parents to name 3 countries they have visited or would like to visit" which hasn't been completed, and another that says "Ask your parents why they liked these countries or why they would want to visit them" and then the rest of the pages are for your "Country Stamps". This is such a neat little addition, and it makes the program so much more realistic.
Here is my niece, filling out her Passport and choosing the places where she wants to visit! She had fun looking on the map and choosing where she'd like to go :)Next was the letter from Sam & Sofia! It reads:
"Hello! My name is Sam. I'm writing to you because I had to tell someone what happened to me and my best friend Sofia. I found a magical scooter that can take me anywhere I want to go. I'm going to use it to travel around the world!
This is what happened- I was visiting my Aunt Charlie. She's a scientist and inventor with a garage full of weird machines and half-finished gizmos. She sent me into her garage to look at a scooter she was fixing. The scooter seemed like a normal scooter until I noticed the GPS attached to the handle bars. The screen on the GPS was flashing: 'WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO?'
I hopped on the scooter and told it to head to Sofia's house. Sofia almost jumped out of her window when I appeared in front of her. It's a good thing Sofia said she'd go with me because she had a great idea! She thought it would be fun to write letters and send gifts to pen pals while we're traveling. What do you think?
This month, Sofia thought it would be cool to send you a suitcase to store all the things we send you. Each month, we'll send you stickers to put on the suitcase and make it your own! This month we sent stickers of us.
We sent you a world map so you can see where we're traveling. Each month, we'll send you cool stickers you can put on the map to track where we've been.
We also sent you your very own world passport. Put a photo of yourself inside and answer some of the questions. We'll send you passport stickers every month so you can "visit" countries right along with us.
You'll also receive a Boarding Pass with a secret access code to play fun games in the Boarding Zone area of our website. One of them uses the map we sent you!
The last thing we included is a page of activities. If you solve one of them, it will tell you where we're traveling next month!
Write you soon,
Sam and Sofia."
I really think this is a neat touch to the box as well. It makes the children think they're getting a personalized letter directly to them. I like that it tells you a little bit about what's going on in the month as well! My niece really enjoyed reading this!
Here is my niece reading her letter from Sam & Sofia and finding out what she'll be doing this month! :)
Next is the Worldwide Adventures Activities! It included 3 different activities...2 on the front, 1 on the back. The first activity was Hello Around the World; it gave the kids a decoder (letters and numbers) as well as how to say hello in different languages written in numbers. She had to look at the decoder, and find the letters that corresponded with the numbers and write them down! She learned how to say Hello in 5 different languages such as French, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and Spanish!
Here she is figuring out her first puzzle while learning new languages! :)
The next activity involved using the map and was called Sam & Sofia's Next Country Adventure! This activity required her to use the map given to her to find the capitals of different countries! This was very fun because some of them she couldn't find so I had to join in on the fun! Each capital's First letter gave the clue to the next month's box! She had to find the capital of Germany, Italy, Turkey, Croatia, Pakistan and Portugal! Leading her to discover that next month's box is: (SPOILER) Brazil!
Here she is, evil face and all, trying to find her capitals to reveal the next month's adventure! This was challenging and fun, because it required her to look all over the map!
The last activity for this kit was on the back, and was called "How Old Are Sam & Sofia?". There was a picture of an airport on the back, with different flags hidden around the place, and she had to count how many flags where there! She determined that Sam & Sofia are 10 years old :) Just a year younger than her!
Next is the awesome Boarding Pass! As you can see, it has a picture of Sam & Sofia riding the scooter. On the back it contains instructions on how to use it, the destination, and the secret code. Of course, I didn't take a picture of the back in case everybody's codes are different. The bottom tells you to KEEP the boarding pass because if you ever forget your member name or password, the code with help locate your information, which is SO neat! It tells us that you can attach it to your suitcase handle for safe keeping! It included a little bungie like string as well :)
Here she is being a goober and playing with string on her boarding pass!
Next is the picture of Sofia & Sam in a garage! I'm assuming that this is Aunt Charlie's garage...but can't be quite positive. This is awesome because it's printed on actual picture paper, and is taken in a real garage! I thought this was a cute little thing to show the beginning of the journey :)
Here she is with her picture of Sam & Sofia. After this we had a long argument on whether or not they were in a real garage. She seems to think they aren't, while I know they are :)
Last but not least is the HUGE map of the World featuring Sam & Sofia on it! This map is AWESOME and I was very jealous to see it in the kit! The design of it is amazing, and everything about it is plain awesome. I couldn't get a whole photo of it because it's just way too big, but you can see parts of it in the above pictures of my niece working with her kit!
Overall I really am loving this kit and program in general! I really think that this is an awesome way to introduce kids in to learning about the country and the world! For $11.95 a month, you really can't complain! I wasn't sure if my little niece would be into this, as she is 7 years old, but I think I'm going to subscribe to them for both of my nieces. I know my oldest one had fun with it, so I'm sure my little one will too, plus it's a great way to spend time with them! I'm going to allow them to choose which one they'd like, but personally I'd go with the world ;)

This looks so cool and I can't imagine most kids not loving it. Seems like it teaches in such a fun way. I love these kind of activities and I bet they teach things most adults don't know, well at least that I don't know about different parts of our country and the world ;)
