Recently, I received the new Zoya Summer Collection in the mail. This is the second set in which I received! The first being the Summer Pixie colors, and the last being the Irresistible collection! The blog for that one will be coming shortly, and you can read my Pixie post here :)
Zoya is easily one of my FAVORITE brands of nail polishes! I love the formula, the consistency with their polishes, as well as the price factor. They're always the first to have unique colors and it makes me love them even more!
The Stunning Summer Collection is a nice set of gorgeous, fun, bright, summery cream colors! For me, that is my FAVORITE type of polish! I love bright colors that stand out, and I love my creams!
Look at this GORGEOUS rainbow effect! How awesome does this look? :) From left to right: Yana, Micky, Thandie, Darcy, Josie, Rocky!
The first color I have for you today is Yana!
Yana is literally the perfect Hot Pink cream color you can find! It's SO gorgeous and is easily one of my favorite polishes now. Of course, a lot of companies can have a Hot Pink Cream color, but it takes the right company to get the formula down, and Zoya has done it yet again. Zoya describes Yana as "a Full-Coverage Geranium Pink Cream".
I honestly really loved this color in all aspects. The formula was perfect, the application was perfect. The formula was thick, but not goopy, which is what I love. With this color, 1 coat is fine, but I did 2 for the pictures, just to be on the safe side. The "Full Coverage" that Zoya described this as was really spot on. This is the perfect summer pink, and would look wonderful on any skin tones. I can't wait to wear this on my little piggies :) (Toes...for those who don't get what I'm saying :P) The removal was great, not hard and no stains which is always a plus!
Next, I have Micky! This is a great bubblegum type pink polish! I really enjoy the color of it. It looks similar to Yana, but it's lighter, as you can see in the first picture, with all of my polishes together. Zoya describes this color as "Full-Coverage Amazing Coral Cream". I'm really not sure on the whole "Coral" color, I find that Thandie is more Coral than this.
Micky is a great polish! The formula is thinner than Yana, but not in a bad way. It's easier to control, without being drippy and runny. 2 coats are okay, but would do 3 for safe measures. I did 2 coats for the pictures. Removal was hard, it didn't want to come off of my nails. The good thing is that it didn't stain :) I really like this color!
Next is Thandie. Thandie (what a unique name...) is supposed to be an orange cream color, but I feel that this is more corally. Zoya said Micky was coral, but I feel this one is. It's almost like a muted pinky orange. Zoya describes it as "Full-Coverage Citrus Orange Cream". Once again, I'd have to disagree with their description. There really is nothing "Citrusy" about this polish. It's a muted orange, nothing more.
This color is a little runny, but thickens right away. It's actually kind of a pain to spread on the nail. You absolutely NEED to let this one fully dry before doing a second or third coat. 2 coats are fine, 3 would be ideal, but I did 2 for the pictures. When painting my sisters nails, 2 coats still showed some bare spots, so I had to do 3. Removal was like Micky, it was hard to get off, but it didn't stain!
Here is another favorite of mine, Darcy! This is a GORGEOUS Sun yellow! It's the prettiest yellow I've seen :) It's a great Lemony color as well. It reminds me of the Crayola Crayon in Dandelion! :) Zoya describes it as "Full-Coverage Sunny Yellow Cream". Haha Zoya, beat you to it ;)
This awesome color had a great formula! It was thin, without being runny, and applied beautifully. 2 Coats was plenty for the opacity! I can't get over the beautiful shade of yellow this is. This polish stained my nails unfortunately, but removed okay.
Next I have Josie! This is a true, cream Green. It reminds me of a much lighter "Noot" from their Fall Collection 2012. Zoya describes it as "Full Coverage Grassy Green Cream".
I'm not sure if it's the lighting of my camera, but it doesn't look "Grassy Green" to me...it looks a little smokey. Josie is a thicker polish than the others, and because of this it's fully opaque in 2 coats. The weird thing is that while applying it to my nails, it had a lot of bubbles. It did have an easy removal, with no stains.
Lastly, I have Rocky! I have to say, I love the name! It reminds me of Rocky on Shake it Up :) (Yes, I'm 20 years old, but I still love that show!) It's like a dark Robins Egg Blue to me. Zoya describes it as a "Full Coverage Serene Blue Cream" I'm not sure if it's just me, but my idea of the colorings for these polishes are NOTHING with what Zoya describes...It's still beautiful though.
This reminded me a lot of Josie, just in a blue coloring. It didn't have bubbles while applying though. 2 coats is perfect but the second was dry and hard to spread around. Color is literally amazing. It was hard to remove, but didn't leave any stains.
Overall I really enjoyed this collection! I thought the colors were EXTREMELY summer like, and I can't wait to wear them :)
*I was sent these polishes for review purposes*
