I recently got 2 adorable boxes for my nieces from the lovely Kim over at KiddoBoxes! What are KiddoBoxes you may ask? It's a new subscription service that's shipping out July 20th that's FILLED with novelty toys and items for kids! These boxes contain a ton of stuff! Kiddoboxes are aged for kids 4-8, but my 11 year old niece loved hers! These boxes are perfect for report card treats, birthday gifts, party favor gifts, and just any day gifts! The best part about it is if you want to subscribe monthly, and have more than 1 kid in the house, you can tell them and they'll try and make sure each kid gets different items! Whether it's different shapes, colors, ect. The box is $19.68 for 1 month, or $53.14 for 3 months! I got 2 different boxes, so I'll be starting with my first Niece (A's) box! She's 11 years old :)
Both boxes came wrapped like this with awesome Hello Kitty Duct Tape :)
It also includes this super cute tag that says "Who sent you a Kiddobox?" and on the back:
THE NAME! :) So cute! It's such an awesome little detail, so it'd definitely be perfect for Holiday Gifts! Just give the kid a box that looks plain, and on the inside it's filled with fun stuff! This is A's box! As I said before, she's 11 and loved it. So without further ado, here are the contents: (I had to take pictures with double more than one object in it because there was just SO much stuff in these boxes, I'd be here all day with single pictures!)
The first item in the box, that was right on top under the tissue paper was this awesome Monster High Frankie Stein plush! LOOK AT HOW CUTE IT IS! I was ready to take this for myself :) My niece, who is an avid Monster High fan, absolutely adored this! She thought it was awesome. I can't get over the cuteness...
The first section on the box were the note pads!
The first is a Purple "Princess" Crown with a little feather pen! This was PERFECT for a girl who loves carrying anything to write with her...she has notebooks upon notebooks upon notebooks, however she doesn't have any pocket sized ones, so this worked out.
The second is a note pad of Justin Bieber. I must say, neither of my nieces are crazy about him (but we do call A "Biebs" sometimes because when she was little, she had a bowl cut like him ;0), but she did have fun stamping butterflies (see below) all over his face :) A note pad is a note pad, so this will be used in some form :)
The next section of the box were the erasers! First off, I must say, I almost stole the Scooby-Doo Popsicle eraser..how cute is it?! I've always been a huge Scooby Doo fan, even having my room decked out in him (now coming to terms it's not an appropriate style for a 20 year old...).
The first eraser is a super awesome Ice Cream Cone with the added Cherry on Top! These are great because they're the "Puzzle" erasers and they come apart and can get put back together easily. My nieces love these things and got loads of them this past Christmas. Needless to say, this was awesome to have in the box!
The second eraser is, of course, the Scooby Doo Popsicle! I can't get over the cuteness factor on this. The Popsicle stick is actually wooden too!
The last eraser is another Ice Cream Cone but with Hot Fudge on top instead of a cherry :)
The next section are the bags!
It came with a big, beautiful, lacey type sack to hold all of the items in. I immediately thought "Wow, a way that they WON'T lose all of the little pieces, awesome!" It has a string pull to close and everything.
The second bag was a little floppy disk pouch. I would say this would make the perfect lunch money pouch (A is going into the 6th grade...where have the times gone?). It's so cute, and of course, when she first opened it up, she's like "What the heck is this supposed to be?" I told her it was a floppy disk, her response? "What in the world is a Floppy Disk?". The conversation ended there...
This is just a "random" category.
Tea Cup Playing Cards! These were a little cheesy for my liking, but of course you can't blame the box, you can only blame the company ;) But my niece being a kid, didn't realize anyways, playing cards don't matter when you're a kid. :) (The joys of being a kid, right?)
Shoelace Hair Barrette! Another perfect item in these boxes! My nieces are forever putting barrettes and clips and ties in their hair. They actually each have one of these in purple I believe, but the bright neon colors will be awesome for summer!
The next category are the "Rings"!
The first two rings, yellow and orange, are these cool rubber spikey rings. These are NEAT! They're made of the same rubber as the Livestrong Bracelets, but are in...well...ring form :)
Then there are two plastic rings, orange and red, which aren't anything major. A wasn't excited about these, she's gotten them before from school and birthday parties, ect. This was the least liked thing of the box, but you know what? They're great for dressup for my other niece :)
Next were the "Jewelry" pieces.
The first item was a light blue bracelet. A was very happy for this, she loved it. She loves wearing jewelry, so this will certainly be used.
The second item was the blue star necklace. The first thing she said when she saw it (along with the silver) was "I can wear this for 4th of July!". We usually go up to her grandfather's house (brother-in-law's father) for 4th of July, so she will be showing them off there I'm sure.
The third item, obviously, is the silver ball necklace. This is just your typical plastic ball bead necklace :)
Next is another random one!
The first item, is a clear plastic ruler of sorts with some stencils on the inside. I used to love having these in class so I could just drift off and doodle. Maybe that's why I'm so bad at Math? ;)
The second items are these cute little bears! These are just cute, plastic little bears.
Next were two butterfly stamps! These are what A plastered on Justin Bieber's face. :) So cute, and come in the color Red.
Second to the last category are the keychains!
The first is this cute silver star with a giant gem in the middle. This has a latch on it to hold it onto the place you want it hung. I don't know the actual name for it...but it's like, one of those "Mountain" latches? This is cute, but the latch doesn't clip itself, you have to push it back and then pull it forward to keep it on the zipper ect. A put this on her pencil pouch for school :)
The second is this really awesome flip flop! Of course hers is purple and green, and it has the traditional keychain circle on it....you know, the ones you almost break your nails trying to separate? A put this one on her wallet pouch that lost the zipper before she could use it!
The last category in A's box is the play category!
Little Bitty Beach Ball :) This thing is awesome, except we couldn't get the ball completely blown up and push the little blow up nozzle in... it's still cool!
The little ball in the hole smiley is a little cheesy for me, but not for my nieces, they loved them. :)
The next box is K's! As you can see, hers is different than A's. :) That means no fighting! K is 7 and loved her box so much! I think she even liked it better considering she went home the night she received it, came back the next day with at least 6 or 7 of the items.
K received a plush of Clawdeen from Monster High in her box. She absolutely LOVED it as she's also in love with Monster High. (Heck, I'm 20 and I'm in love with it, I wish they were out when I was a kid). She took it with her everywhere when she first got it!
Next were her note pads!
She received the same Princess pad as A but hers was pink :) I think this one fits the whole "Princess" scheme a little better!
Justin Bieber Note Book. Her note pad was more like a book, it had a hard cover and a flip top (well...bottom)! The pages were blank, so she was happy. Again, she's not a huge JB fan, but I know a lot of little girls are.
Next were the bags!
She received the same silky lace type bag that A got, to keep all of their little treasures in.
K received a record pouch. This was a little easier to explain, but because she kept saying "CD" I just let her believe it was a CD...I mean, this is 2013, right? This will be perfect for trips to the store. This kid has money piled up in the most random places.
Next were her erasers!
The first eraser was an Ice Cream Cone! As I said with A's erasers, these are puzzles, they come apart. K collects these as well as A so she was happy to see them in here :) This Ice Cream Cone is too cute, and I might have her bring it over so I can make a mold out of it for my clay :)
The second eraser was a Scooby-Doo Popsicle! As stated above, the stick is real! Hers is purple, obviously :)
The last eraser is a super adorable Ice Cream Sandwich! It looks like a longer Oreo, and I think it might be my favorite one.
These are the Keychains that K received.
She got a pink and yellow flip flop keychain, which I'm not actually sure if she's used yet.
She also got the same silver star as A did. I think this would be great for her back pack :)
Next are K's Rings.
She got teal and green colored spike rings. She LOVED these! She wouldn't stop talking about them. She thought they were so cool.
For the plastic rings, she received Yellow and green. These weren't a major like in the box, but she will use them for dress up.
Next were the jewelry!
The first piece was the yellow bracelet. I personally liked this one better than A's. She is another one who loves jewelry!
The second and third are just plain plastic beaded necklaces in purple and teal. I thought it was cool that her necklace matched her spiky ring :)
She received the same stamps as A, but just in different colored packaging. This was perfectly okay, because they would have fought over the different ones anyway :) This was immediately used.
Next is another random pair.
She received the same clear ruler/stenciler, which is another item that's perfectly okay to have twice. She most likely will keep it with her stuff, and A keeps hers with her own.
She received 2 little plastic bears as well, hers were yellow and a purpley maroon color. She loved these! :)
Next are the random fun items!
She received a tiny beach ball with flowers on it! She immediately blew it up and started playing with it. Hers blew up better than A's, and she was able to get it to the full capacity!
Then she received a green smiley face, she really loved this surprisingly. This was one of the items she brought back the next day to play with. She wouldn't give it up! While I personally wouldn't like getting this, she did, which is all that matters. :)
The last group is another random one!
She received the same Playing Cards as A, but she really loved hers. She brought these back the next day and made me and A play "War" with her.
The last item was this Shoe Lace barrette in bright, neon colors! This will go PERFECTLY with the shirt I made her for her birthday before. I made her a black shirt with neon colors on it, and she loved it. She definitely loved this as well, because like I said before, they both love putting things in their hair.
Overall, I really love these boxes. If you noticed, I didn't price them because a lot of the objects came from sites like Oriental Trading, but also I think this box is more about the experience and excitement of a child receiving one, than the price of the contents inside. Although, I must say, I'd like to continuously see brand name products inside such as the Monster High dolls, and the Justin Bieber note pads. I really like this box, and it reminds me of a comic book box I used to get as a kid. It had 4 or 5 comic books inside, as well as little toys and trinkets to play around with. I feel that this would be great for gifts for friends or family, and would be good birthday party favors. I think it would be cool to have smaller versions for that purpose, or smaller versions for Easter baskets or Christmas Stockings ect...something that's like a gift that keeps on giving :)
Big thank you to Kim at KiddoBoxes for sending these my way and allowing me to review them! We had so much fun :)
Thanks so much! I am glad the girls liked them.
