Sock Panda June 2013 Unboxing & Review!

A few weeks back I was contacted by the awesome Sock Panda company who offered to send me a free "box" to try out! Of course, me being the Subscription Junkie I am, instantly said yes! In case you didn't know Sock Panda is a very neat subscription box that sends you a new pair of crazy, fun or bold socks in your mail! Sometime these socks have a background, other times they're just fun and crazy with no story whatsoever! Each month you can pay $11 for 1 pair of socks, or $22 for 2! If you choose to get 1 pair of socks, you can choose between Bold or Cool. If you choose to get 2 pairs, you get 1 of each. I believe I was sent "Bold" this month, which I couldn't be happier with! So without further ado, let's get into my package!

131This is the awesome packaging! Look at the little socks :) On the front is just my address and stuff, so of course I didn't take a picture of it :)

132This was the info sheet. Usually I don't type out long ones, but this one intrigued me, so here it is:
"In our continuing efforts to bring you the coolest socks from around the world, the SockPanda and his support staff hopped on a plane for South America in May. While in Buenos Aires, we discovered Tienda Suarez, one of the hippest design company's in Argentina.

Tienda Suarez creates bold and captivating images across many mediums including clothing and furniture. The company is only a year old and run by five young partners.

We loves their story- little guys trying to start something from scratch, and we thought their socks were pretty cool too so we grabbed as many as we could and threw them in our suitcases to bring them back just for you! As a SockPanda subscriber, you will be the only person in the USA to have these limited edition socks."

The reason this intrigued me is because the brand of socks I received were from Sock Smith...which is based in Santa Cruz California...and made in Korea. I think I may have gotten the wrong brand of socks sent to me... (believe me, I'm not complaining about it at all, because these socks ROCK, I realize supplies could have run out as well!) but I like that, if what the paper said is true, they go to different places throughout the world and bring back little company's items. I like when a bigger place helps out smaller companies and people in general. Now with the confusion of the origin of my socks out of the way, here are the socks I received!

The socks I received were these socks by SockSmith in Kiss Me Cosmo Pink. They're pink socks with little crown wearing frogs and hearts. I'm absolutely IN LOVE with these! I'm very impressed, because I have big feet for a lady, these socks actually FIT and are my size! They're for Women's Sock Size 9-11...unfortunately I'm on the higher end, being a size 11. I've always had hard times finding shoes and socks that fit me, it was a little embarrassing when I was little, but now I realize it's who I am, and it's what I have, if there are shoes that aren't my size, I'll just have to find a different pair! Same goes with socks, but I'm super happy that these fit me! I love printed socks (recently getting Adventure Time mix and match socks for Christmas, along with knee high Batman socks with little capes on the back). I will always love printed socks because it gives me a sense that my childhood is still alive! You can still be silly as an adult, even in serious times by dressing in these awesome socks.

133Proof that they fit my huge, wide feet! :) I love them so much! Not only are they extremely cute, I don't have ANY pink socks (they also come in Blue Lagoon, and black), and they're super comfortable! A problem I have with printed socks is the material that they're made out of. Usually socks with printing on them have a very silky, but annoying material that turns me off. These, however don't have that feeling. They feel like the normal cotton socks I'm used to wearing. They're so soft and comfortable it's ridiculous. I never thought I'd be able to be in love with a pair of SOCKS! On the packaging for the socks it says that the suggested retail price is $7.50 but with the shipping figured into it, it is either just a little under the price of the subscription or equal to it. Of course this could vary between months because some socks may be more expensive than others. I'm not going to lie, at first I thought "$11, really? For a pair of socks?" but then I looked at the actual price of the socks, and thought back to when I used to buy them at JC Penny and saw some for $12 A PAIR! Crazy! This includes shipping and the socks, so it's much better.

Overall I'm super in love with this company. I plan on subscribing to it once I get financially stable. I can't wait to see the other socks that come in this subscription! Honestly, for $11, you can't beat it, these socks I received are super high quality and as I said, extremely comfortable.

Big thank you to Sock Panda for sending these out to me! I love them so much (and I'm wearing them now (: )
