Citrus Lane July 2013 Unboxing, Review + BOGO Coupon Code!

A couple days a go, I was given the opportunity to not only give my readers a BOGO coupon code, but to actually review a box for you all as well from Citrus Lane! For those of you who don't know, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for children aged 0-5 Years old! These boxes are personalized to fit your child's age range from newborn to toddler. They offer amazing boxes that include the best of the best children products around! Citrus Lane costs $25 a month, or $21 a month for 6-Month and 12-Month purchases.  Citrus lane does extensive product research, testing, and uses feedback from real moms to curate a package that YOU receive monthly with 4-5 items that are HAND SELECTED to help both you and your child. They want to be with you, and help your child grow, learn and discover. Items in the box can include toys, books, snacks, household (children safe cleaners, ect.) and body care items!  Not only is the box filled with treats for the child, but sometimes they throw in an extra Mommy (or auntie, or grammy) gift for you to enjoy. Each box is worth at LEAST $25 (retail) and always has free shipping. When I was offered this box to review, I immediately knew who I wanted to get it for. I have two special little babies in my life right now, both being children of friends. I still consider them my little nieces though! I absolutely ADORE these two girls, and one of them is actually already introduced into the world of subscription boxes by her grammy :), so I knew the other had to be introduced. The baby I got this for is about to be 5 months, but I aged the box up a month so I know she'd be able to actually use the items for months ahead. I was so surprised and amazed at the items received in this box! Without further ado:

018Here is the first look of my box! I'm totally loving the true yellow! :) The front reads:
"Hello From Citrus Lane! Beautiful weather means you'll be spending a lot of time outdoors. Whether you're planning a trip out of town or just running around town, we've put together items from some of our favorite partners- including ZoLi and Melissa & Doug- that will make traveling with your little one a lot easier- and more fun! Be sure to capture and share your summer memories with postcards from out partner Postagram. Bon Voyage!"

019Here's a quick glance at my box! Or...Bella's box I should say. :)

020

The first item in my box is one that Bella knows! It is a NurturMeals from NurturMe in Sweet Potatoes, Oatmeal, Bananas. While she's never tried this exact one, I did give her a Peas one! :) These are dried organic foods that you can mix with breast milk, formula or water to create a puree. If your child is a toddler, you can also mix it into already made foods for added nutrition! I simply love the idea of these! These are for babies aged 6 Months to toddlers aged 4 Years. NurturMe has various cereals, snacks, singles and blends to get your baby off on the right foot. Both cereals and singles are for 4 months- 4 years, the blends are 6 months- 4 years and the snacks are 1 year and over. These are certified organic, gluten-free, NON-GMO verified, kosher and made in the USA. From the card:
"NurturMeals from NurturMe: NurturMeals are the first and only certified-organic, gluten-free dried fruit and veggie meals that cater to tots from the ages of 6 Months to 4 Years. The blends contain nutrient-rich super-foods- like green kale, quinoa, squash and bananas- that will appeal to developing taste buds, with no added sugar, salt or preservatives. Simply add milk, formula or water to make purees, or mix into foods like mac and cheese for an added boost of nutrients. Especially useful during travel season, when you have limited space, or to keep on hand in case of emergencies."

While Bella is a little under 6 months old, I feel that this will come in handy in a month or so. She may actually be able to even use it now! I think every child is ready for certain foods at different stages in their growing up. I love that it's simple enough that all you need is water, milk or formula to mix in with it. This one packet makes a 4 oz serving! Not bad! As I said, I love the idea of these, and love that it gives your child all of the nutrients they need and nothing they don't! :)

You can purchase a box of 8 4 oz servings on their website for $11.99, making this single packet $1.50 Use code 15OFFNMCITRUS for 15% off your order on their website! :)

021Next up are 2 cute little 0.5 oz samples from California Baby! One of the samples is a Calming Jelly Mousse, and the other is an Aloe Vera Cream. These are perfect travel sized samples to slip right into your diaper bag! The Calming Jelly Mousse is actually a hair gel that is specially formulated to help calm both your mood and your hair! It is a natural, alcohol-free, starch based, and is non-toxic plus free of chemicals! It holds a light scent of French Lavender and Clary Sage! This doesn't make hair feel crunchy or sticky. It's for both newborns and adults! The Aloe Vera Cream is perfect for using on face and body, but also works for cooling down hot diaper rash. It is a light and fluffy, non-greasy cream that contains 100% Aloe Vera infused with herbs and essential oils. It is recommended for dry, irritated skin. Again, this is a product that can be used from infancy to adult. On the website, it says that it's perfect for use on freshly shaved skin. From the card:
"California Baby Travel Set: California Baby offers more than 50 pediatrician- and dermatologist- recommended products from hair care and diapering to bath fun and sun care. Founded by a mom, California Baby is committed to creating toxin-free skin care products that are truly healthy for kids and the planet. We are sending you a couple of our favorite products in travel sizes so you can try them out during your summer adventures."

Little Bella actually doesn't have any hair yet, so I'm not sure that she'll be able to use the Jelly Mousse, but it'd be great for when she does grow hair! As for the Aloe Vera cream, what baby doesn't get the dreaded diaper rash! That stuff must hurt! I'm so glad to be able to give her a little tube that's perfect for the diaper bag! California Baby has a lot of great items, and I'm sure these will be great as well!

You can purchase a full size, 2.9 oz tube of Calming Jelly Mousse on their website for $9.99, making this 0.5 oz tube about $1.72. You can purchase a full size 2 oz jar of the Aloe Vera Cream on their website for $12.99, making this 0.5 oz tube $3.25 !

022Next up is a package of 32 Little Buddy Wipes from Me4Kidz in Fresh Cucumber & Tea Tree. Little Buddy Wipes are perfect for scrapes and scratches and everything in-between! These are great for on the go, cleaning hands, dirty faces, and boo-boos! They kill 99% of germs without the sting of alcohol wipes! From the card:
"Little Buddy Wipes from Me4Kidz: With summer in full swing, it's a good idea to add this pack of antibacterial wipes to your diaper-bag arsenal. They're great for cleaning messy faces, grimy hands and even small scrapes when out and about, perfect after playing at the park or when eating on the go. The wipes are infused with a fresh cucumber and tea-tree scent that kids seem to love. Best of all, they kill 99% of germs without the sting of alcohol."

Bella isn't really ready to start walking, so she shouldn't be getting any scrapes and cuts, but she is a buker. What's a buker? A burp puker...so these will be great to wipe up the slop that she wants to spit back out! :) And perfect for her mommy when she gets it all over her too! :P

You can purchase a pack of these on their website for $2.49

026Next is this postcard Postagram from Sincerely. Sincerely is a brand that has some different programs under its wings that allow you to send post cards or gifts right from your iPhone or Android phone using photos from your Instagram or phone! This is a special offer that allows the recipient to send 10 FREE Postagrams! From the card:
"Postagram from Sincerely Inc.: This cool app let's you turn your favorite snapshots into printed, personalized postcards right from your smartphone. We love being able to share memories with family and friends in an instant. Cleverly designed with a preforated edge around the image- pop it out and stick it on the fridge! We are thrilled to offer our Citrus Lane subscribers 10 postcards for free from Postagram!"

I actually think that I will be keeping this for myself! I'd love to secretly get a picture of my Memay's cat and secretly send it to her in the mail ;) This would be super cute for vacations though!

This deal is worth $10.00!

023Next is this Wiggling Worm Grasping Toy from Melissa & Doug! This is a super cute wooden worm that has 8 sections that twist and turn to create different shapes! This has an easy to grasp shape, and the bright colors attract the babies attention. This is for ages 6 Months and up! This is perfect for babies to learn how to manipulate items! From the card:
"Wiggling Worm Grasping Toy from Melissa & Doug: This brightly colored wooden worm is an adorable toy that babies love to manipulate by twisting and turning. It also helps with development of fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Perfectly sized and easy to grasp, it has 8 sections that can be twisted into different positions to form creative shapes. We love the "classic" feel of Melissa & Doug wooden toys and hope that this will become a favorite in your toy box."

I really feel that Bella will love this toy! She has a tight grip on our fingers that can sometimes get uncomfortable, so of course this would be better to give her! She does have the tendency to put her fingers in her mouth, so I'm curious to see if she will try to do the same with this. I'm also curious to see how she'll handle this, as some babies can slam things, ect. and with it being wood I'm worried it may hurt. This is a super cute toy however that I'm excited to give to her! :)

You can purchase this toy on their website for $7.99

ZoLi

The last item in this box is something I personally loved! It is a On-The-Go Travel Formula & Snack Dispenser from ZoLi. This is BPA & Phthalate Free! It has 4 convenient multifunction sections that hold both formula and snacks! It also has an easy pour spout! The easy pour spout transfers formula to bottle smoothly and easily-- no more trapped formula! Each individual container holds up to 5 scoops of formula. This is perfect so you do not have to carry around the containers of formula, and possibly contaminate them. You can easily carry around the amount of formula you actually need, and this can take up less space in your diaper bag! From the card:
"On-The-Go from ZoLi: We love this stacker from ZoLi because it makes taking food on-the-go easy. Each individual container keeps snacks or formula fresh until you need them. And the easy-pour spout allows you to transfer the content into a bottle or bowl without spilling. BPA- and phthalate-free, you can stack up as many as you need- one, two, three or four. Mom tip: For Dry contents only."

I loved this thing! I think this is ingenious. Especially for the fact that Bella's mommy just lugs the entire container around whereever she goes. Um, hello! This will not only make the diaper bag a little lighter, but also a little less full. I love that this can be used until she's a toddler too! It doubles as a snack and formula holder, so smart and simple.

You can purchase this on their website for $15.00

TOTAL: $41.95

I really, REALLY enjoyed this box from Citrus Lane! I was reading reviews about this month's box, and there were a lot of negatives. I'm really not sure why...This not only had a bunch of awesome items in it, but it also had a completely great total. I really enjoyed getting a large variety of items from food to toys, and think that this is a great box for anyone who has a child! You get to try out potentially favorite brands and find up and coming brands for a very cheap total. All of these prices that I have given have been straight from the companies website, so they are the actual prices, and to me, they're very reasonable. The only item I wouldn't have paid full price for is the Stacker, even though it was my favorite item in the box! $15 for a tower of plastic doesn't seem realistic to me... but like I said, I'm definitely glad I did get it in the box! I really love the idea of having a plethora of fantastic products that you may have never heard of, all getting delivered straight to your door so you don't have to go searching and hunting! You can let Citrus Lane do all the work :)

If you're interested in this box, I have a BOGO code that would allow you to get the July Box as well as the August Box! I'm sure the August Box will be just as good as this one! Click HERE to get the special offer! This code expires 8/5/2013!

“*Offer Terms: Only new, first-time Citrus Lane Subscribers who start a monthly subscription are eligible to redeem this offer. Gift subscriptions do not qualify. Offer expires 8/5/2013.”

Big thank you to Citrus Lane for letting me try this awesome box out! I know my Bella will adore it as much as I did :)
